Sometimes relationships are like a chess game. You move your pawn forward on square at a time, waiting for the other player to move his pawn forward one square at a time. Vulnerability is moves away, once you’ve learned how the other person likes to position her pieces on the board. Chess is a dance of pieces across a board. Dating is a dance of gestures, connection and understanding.
